How do I pay for classes?

What should my child wear for class?
Girls can wear a gymnastic suit or shorts, yoga pants/leggings with a tank top or t-shirt. Boys can wear shorts and a tank top or t-shirt. No baggy clothing, loose fitting tops, buttons, zippers, snaps, belts, jeans or skirts/dresses.
As well no jewelry (stud earrings are fine)
Bare feet are required, but for health reasons please keep warts taped up when in the gym.
Are your classes insured?
Participants are required to purchase an annual Alberta Gymnastics Federation (AGF) membership, which provides the participant with insurance, as well as other benefits. The annual cost is $45 and is valid from July 1-June 30, despite when it is purchased.*AGF pricing is subject to change at their discretion*

How long are your sessions?
SGC will generally run three 10-12 week sessions per year. (fall, winter and spring).
Shorter sessions, as well as camps, will run during the summer months.
Programs such as developmental and competitive are
year round programs (July 1-June 30)

Are your coaches qualified?
Our coaches are AGF trained/certified. As well they are required to take Respect In Sport and Making Ethical Decisions, as well as have first aide training.
Can we still join your classes after the session has started?
Classes are planned progressively, so generally joining any longer than 3 weeks into the session is not advisable. (special circumstances may apply)
Can parents stay to watch?
SGC has a small viewing area provided for our competitive team parents and recreation parents. Thank you for keeping the area tidy. SGC is NOT responsible for the supervision of children while in the viewing area. Please ensure siblings are supervised at all times. Use of this area is at your own risk. We ask that you please refrain from unnecessary communication with your child as this can become a distraction
What is your ratio of children to coaches?
SGC will attempt to keep the ratio of preschool gymnastics at 6:1 and recreational gymnastics at 8:1. When possible,
a Jr coach will assist when that ratio is surpassed.

Are Makeup Classes Available?

*Please note that we do NOT offer make up classes for inclement weather cancellations or situations out of our control.
* Make Up classes will NOT be offered if you choose not to attend a class Due to the child/class/coach ratios and the structure of our programs, make up classes are NOT offered.
*No refunds will be provided for missed classes*
